Can something be done about off-topic shitposting? #off-topic use to be about discussing things that don’t pertain to the game. However, ever since WAX left the forum, it has become a place for people like Burgr to shitpost.
One solution could be adding a way to filter out topics with the “meme” tag.
I’m incriminated in this but just want to chime in. A filter system would be incredibly useful as part of the advanced search function. I’m surprised this isn’t an option with the tagging system in place now.
What about an #off-topic:shitposting category? That way you can set notification preferences in the same way you can set them for #marketplace or #Guilds - just mute stuff.
Can’t claim to be an expert since I have #off-topic muted, but what kind of “good” #off-topic posts are getting flooded by memes? I figure that’s mostly what the channel’s for.
Shitposts should have the meme tag, imo. I used to give it to those that didn’t but I got lazy, lol.
Ok real talk there has been this forum member who has been stalking me for the past 3 days. Shadowing my posts and trying to sneak in threats to my life.
It’s funny and I don’t take it seriously, but the way this person does it is extremely off topic and I think is worth investigating. It’s not funny like Wax, it’s just harassment.
If this isn’t a joke you’d be best telling a mod or admin.
