OG Mt. Olympus + Gods in Seven Seas

So I think the War Seas have the original Mt. Olympus iirc, but then why are the Gods in the Seven Seas? Howcome there’s absolutely no knowledge of the other side? Is there a “new” Mt. Olympus in the Seven Seas (if so, where?)

I’m gonna guess that, since [I don’t remember who] said that gods don’t technically die completely, they were reincarnated in the Seven Seas or something.

I’m the big dumb, so maybe the answers are obvious :woman_shrugging:

So poseidon was a god right?
Prometheus beat up hades and took over olympus, right?
cursebeard came and beat up prometheus, right?

I’m assuming poseidon joined him then and there,
any gods in the seven seas arrived there long prior to AA

Nah, he beat up Zeus. Idk what Hades was doing but his depiction in AA lore is whack to his actual Greek lore.

But if Cursebeard is older than the Sea’s split, why’s he exclusively in the Seven Seas and why’s he never mention the War Seas or try to reach it?

I mean, that’s a bold assumption to make imo since we never get any evidence either way

I honestly wouldn’t be entirely surprised if we see some gods in the War Seas (nor am I expecting it). I don’t remember if Ares died or not, but he’d be a very likely dweller of the War Seas (along with, say, Hephaestus, Apollo [whom I known is dead], Artemis, and Athena).

oh yeah fucked up, meant zeus

considering cursebeard is based in the seven seas,
his entire crew lives/was born there, he has his own fucking giant crew, etc
even if he knew, why would he go to the war seas?

made the assumption because theres no other logical point we know of where poseidon would have joined cursebeard

its almost a guarantee we’ll see some sort of god,
or at least the revival of one, in the story anyways

generally we should assume any given god is “dead” until info is given stating otherwise,
as the amount of greek gods is massive

Cursebeard should be older than the Sea’s split, but I guess my question is, if not, what were the gods doing in the Seven Seas anyway when Mt. Olympus is on the other side of the world?

Having a giant crew doesn’t really stop you from a desire to spread influence, I mean look at what England did with America and Asutralia (among other places). People be greedy like that

This sort of supports the opposite of what you’re saying, at least by my interpretation.

Again, it’s likely that the gods died and were reincarnated in the Seven Seas instead of the War Seas, but is it because Mt. Olympus as a conceptual placeholder moved (if so, why?) or did it move because the hearth of the gods did (if so, why?)?

to my knowledge only poseidon/hades/prometheus/zeus’s corpse were
ever confirmed to be in the seven seas

sailing from the seven seas to the war seas is a huge journey,
full of unmapped and dangerous waters,
keep in mind the amount of radiation led to giant super massive sharks

reincarnated? placeholder?
what?

keep in mind that the curses were created before theos and durza fucked the world over
meaning all this drama with the gods happened prior to when the world was fucked

This reminds me, Hestia is the overseer of all sacrifices (Like ritual sacrifices and stuff) in Greek mythology so did she get any aurem buffs? Also she’s the goddess of the Hearth and that’s why it reminded me.

I guess that would mean that we either don’t have all the gods in the Seven Seas or they’re not confirmed to be dead

fair

Tech said that gods didn’t truly die, which leads me to speculate into some sort of reincarnation for them. Placeholder refers to Mt. Olympus serving as the hearth of the gods, as Mt. Olympus is located in the War Seas (not sure if there’s a “new” one in the Seven Seas that attracted the gods there or whatever).

Also this ^

Right, so wouldn’t Cursebeard know of an entire other half of the world since he’s older than that?

You mean incarnate? Greek gods don’t die so they don’t reincarnate.

:woman_shrugging:
(probably)
I guess it would depend on how much of the original self transfers over (memories and all that)

what that means is that gods can reform if the pieces are gathered and shit
there isn’t a new mount olympus in the seven seas
again, only like 2 living gods were actually confirmed to go there

cursebeard was searching for the curses,
him being stranded on the other side of the world when that happened could easily lead him to think that the rest of the world had been completely annhilated/unreachable

Fair. Either way I hope to see some actually cool gods instead of the “big three” being butchered to bits in depiction (I say that because it appears, to me, that you don’t think all the gods are dead at the Seven Seas but idk)

Also who’s ruling over Hades(The place/hell) now? Persephone? The Fates are technically minor gods despite them being stronger than gods so are the Fates dead because the gods are dead and if so how? If they aren’t dead, are they not considered gods but something else?

aphrodite

around AA we know he was messing with durza to test the limits of black magic or so and made durza go all evil allegedly is my guess or influenced his actions

but prior we don’t know, he prob wasn’t too fond of the olympians dying and what not maybe but iirc wasn’t he a chill guy doing his job as long you didn’t screw with him?

god dammit power

Technicaly, Cursebeard lived in the War seas, or he went there, because of the fact that he raided Mount Olympus to force Prometheus to make curses, thus he could’ve sailed there whenever he wanted.

and maybe (and this is a strong maybe) the kingdoms there are fighting for MT Olympus so they can get the secrets and the power inside ( for example Hephaestus’s forge, or more likely Prometheus’s place where he made the sea curses, the later is probably why the peacekeeper is going there, don’t mater if s/he can destroy curses if someone can just make them agein.)

I’m going to guess that Cursebeard just ended up in the Seven Seas and decided to stay there, probably because of so many people having curses. And I get the feeling that Cursebeard established Alalea because a settlement of his was destroyed by the battle of Theos and Durza, which would help explain why he’s in the Seven Seas; he wanted to re-establish a kingdom for his crew, and so he just took the finest place he could.
