Well, since I live in Australia, Roblox decided to put the age verification bullshit on us, and since I don’t wanna dox myself, at least with this acc, I can’t chat

And well what do you know??? SOME OF THESE COMMANDS NEEDS YOU TO BE AWAY FROM THE SHIP TO ACTIVATE

I cant command them to gather supplies, I cant command the guys following me to actually do something specific, I HAVE TO BE ON THE SHIP

Just let me carry the ship log….
(Also, I locked myself out of selfie verify when I tried to use an ai pic for it because that’s how much I hate it. And I aint using my ID, I aint letting myself doxxed if there’s a data breach)

Does a vpn let you bypass it?

Nope, I’ve attempted that several times. Your acc location doesn’t easily change with a vpn unfortunately. And customer support for changing acc locations actually stopped working for other players in recent times. So nope.

If I play more with the vpn, maybe it’ll change eventually? But yeah, doesn’t work for now.

Also, btw, my acc is now over 10 years old. Do I HAVE to prove I’m over 18? Bruhhh

Though, I remember devs can apparently make their own custom chat to bypass the age restriction?? Cause it says there that the age verify only affects global chat, but not the custom system that devs uses… interesting. Though, kinda sneaky for devs, for those who wanna… uhh, make those types of games…

Sorry, it seems its not clear on my actual post, I thought everyone already knew abt it

You have to be on the ship to click on those commands

Problem: Some of these commands only work when you’re AWAY from the ship. When you’re on an island. Meaning you can’t gather supplies from a wilderness island (which wouldn’t cost you anything). This means you can only gather supplies AT TOWN WHERE YOU HAVE TO PAY DRACHMAE.

I think you can’t really command your crew to carry chests or even stay at a location as a result of this restriction. Any command that can only be used when your crew is following you, it can’t be effectively used if you can’t chat.

This is easily offset if you’re allowed to carry the ship log. I’m surprised this wasn’t even thought of by Vetex yet since he’s usually up to date with roblox updates, but ye

thats really unfortunate, i hope either vetex makes some changes to work around the issue, or roblox locks in and stops being ass

Real talk, this sucks, and I doubt Vet even planned around it because of how quickly chat control both popped up and was implemented.

Oh my god finally someone that has the same issues as me
And to that I say

SO TRUE
I can’t use half of the ships commands because I can’t use them while I’m away from my ship

I can only cut down like 1 tree at a time before having to go back to my ship, tell my deckhands to cut trees and go back to the trees

Tbf vetex implemented the chat feature first and only then did the chat control roll out
