He said it was always Roman so probably looked mostly the same pre-Nero maybe a little less developed.

Vetex’s message says that we was arrested 2 years before the Grand Navy was founded and his previous message saying 8 was a mistake, so this is the correct year he was arrested.
To be clear in case anyone was curious these messages were like minutes between each other so it’s not really a retcon it seems like Vetex just misremembered that it was 8 and then looked at his notes again and realized it was 2.
Would be cool if in North-West part of Bronze Sea, there were like sunken ruins or at least like deeper ocean.
