If you didn’t know already the Grand Navy receptionist outright lies to your face and tells you that Astoria became the Grand Navy twenty years ago. Operating under the impression that the GN was formed twenty years ago things like Nero’s arrest and the timeline of Winterveil’s fall and what not were super confusing. Now things make a lot more sense with this date in mind. I’m guessing what the receptionist said was just a typo or something cause it seems like a lot of stuff Tech and Vetex said were both based on the GN being formed 100 years ago.
Yeah no more underestimating Nero, bro is quite literally the main reason that the Grand Navy exists. He is straight up responsible for the current state of the War Seas. To that guy who said he was top 5 in the War Seas, I doubted you, I doubted you and I’m sorry.
Honestly I’m kinda surprised they allowed Ravenna to continue to exist after this. They didn’t even remove Nero’s line from power. Guess they thought they taught them a big enough lesson already?
Probably because if the grand navy went around deposing kings and destroying kingdoms by what they deem too be the greater good, no kingdom would have treaties with them (they’d be like the arcane government)
And the other kingdoms realized it could be them next…after all, genocides seem exceedingly common and it was only a matter of time before one desperate kingdom committed one only to be annihilated by a coalition of kingdoms with the navy at the helm
By the wording it seems like the Coalition thought the problem was strictly with Nero being a maniac and his line would be more sane. I might be biased cause I really like the lore and story of this world, but I can kinda understand that even if I wouldn’t make the same decision.
i wonder if the rest of ravenna was actually involved or at least glad that nero was arrested because of how much of a monster he was, then again the rest of the family arent much better
Well like you said the rest of the family wasn’t much better. Octavious and Calvus both wanted to continue killing Winterveilians. I’m guessing that Octavious played up his innocence here in order to really make it seem like Nero had just gone insane and he wasn’t involved or shared his sentiments.
people not realising npc’s can lie to cover up their tracks:
especially since its the goddamn grand navy and to them, the player is just like any other citizen:
