That area is commonly reffered to as the “small of the back”, basically around your spine where your back kinda curves/indents inwards. The weird drawing just emphasizes it with shading

I think,
The bad anatomy of this drawing is moreso located in the legs of the character.
Assuming that it is doing the “Jack-o Pose” from Guilty Gear Strive on flat ground, its legs would either have to be abnormally long, or have inverted knee joints.
Besides the legs, the torso is also unbelievably long and/or thin, although this may be caused by an issue in perspective.
