he is most likely a user of an expiremental curse, specifically a spirit energy one. if you look at his outfit his purple gems can represent a spirit color as if you killed ellius you get the “ruthless” trait which would turn your spirit color purple if your not a paladin, knight or juggernaut.
its likely hes a savant or just a mage who uses a magic who just so happens to have a expiremental spirit energy curse.

Yeah the “in an eye” part seems like a bit of a give away, plus storms and deserts aren’t typically thought of together. I’m still hoping for insanity curse just cause that would be cool, but storm with purple lightning does look kinda likely. I was also the first person to mention it being storm in this thread so I’m okay with that too.
