For some reason, in some areas the game grinds to a halt for a long period of time, no idea what causes it.
This isn’t due to your Computer, this is the game being horribly optimized, as I am running a Ryzen 9 3950X with a 3080 10GB and I commonly go to below 50fps.
memory leaks
That only happens when the server is old enough and not to this degree.
This would be the result of multiple upon multiple days of constant server uptime, but as servers automatically close after just beyond a day, this situation wouldn’t occur.
19 hours
Yeah that’s not even close enough to cause this amount of lag.
It’s likely just one of the classic spikes that happen once in a while.. said ‘spike’ lasting a while.
I’ve had it happen when I was out sailing, I crashed into a wall and I couldn’t get away from it since I was nearly frozen.
spike? this is CONSISTENT
hmmm it has to be a pc issue then, i personally havent experienced any lag outside of a few occasions in the dark sea
Just because you don’t experience it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist on your device, it’s a rather rare occurrence to encounter such ‘spike’
Yeah… hence why I put ’ over the spike, I only called it a spike because it happens so suddenly, where it then stops as sudden as it started.
can we ever get an optimization update?
It’s not worth to create an optimization update, as it doesn’t bring new content, and Vetex STRIVES for new content.
yes but… my pc…
IT’S BURNING
Fun fact, most PCs playing this game are UNDERPOWERED.
Roblox doesn’t allow developers to utilize the GPU for any processing, therefore EVERYTHING runs on the CPU, even things that would be one hundred fold faster on the GPU.
EDIT and Roblox in general is just really laggy for being such a simplistic engine.
well uh call up david for that
I’d rather suffer with AO’s lag at its worst point than call him up.
one of things that causes lag can be client sided npcs, mostly at sameria or ravenna
there’s also jorund’s ship which somehow has ability to slowdown my ship in othrys style ![]()
but there’s in need of further observations to know exact causes, where testers were to do that? or better yet, are dev team even aware of lag?
I think this is just your PC or you are playing in the wrong region
I’m under 30 MS on my Mac
regions don’t understand fps
also on 60 fps
