The minimal pvp, bounty/assassination made the game a lot more pvp/gank-based, especially when you have high renown for deckhands. At least in wom the only reason to gank was guild infamy.
People here after pretending random killing wasn’t as prevalent (if not more so) than ao during peak wom
I enjoyed exploring and finding secrets. I doubt I found everything there was to offer.
the magic system, we got even more customisability for our spells now
most of the mechanics removed for lag reasons such as buildings unanchoring when destroyed, and npcs walking around was pretty cool
The secrets were actually secret unlike AO where it’s an item on a list you need to do
Fishing with others was more common in WoM than it was AO, which led to some nice interactions.
