I don’t know exact stats but from trello pages (older and i think the newer ish one) but i am pretty sure that the DoT is meant to be a stackable one which is what makes it unique. glass used to be able to do this.
and when an exploiter had gotten aether mage it looked like light with a higher size but slower so they do seem to be balanced, maybe a little more proficiant, but still balanced.
of course this is a lot of guessing but hey when the time comes and the magics release Wiki will prob be boomin
so we give a small group of people objectively op magics that other players can try to steal
uh huuuuh…
this won’t create a huge divide or a toxic / unfair system at all
I just want them to be on-par with the rest of the special stuff other classes will have(artisan weapons, lost fighting styles etc etc). Yeah I get it that in lore mage is the superior class but in gameplay we should have them balanced
legendary weapons, ancient magics, and upgraded lost fstyles should all be on par
exotic weapons, lost magics, and lost fstyles should all be on par
rare weapons, base magics, and common fighting styles are all on par
As long as we don’t get Sunken Ancient Magics, Lost Legendary Weapons, and some sort of sky-variant of Lost Fighting Styles, we should be good for powerscaling.
