Opinions on Dirt & Tanning - Community Poll for Change

tanning isn’t as bad as dirt which makes you covered in shit

tanning genuinely makes me frustrated and actually just kinda makes me uncomfortable. I go from my pastey lil creature, into honestly red or completely black. It’s way too much imo for management and needing to constantly chug stuff to manage it isn’t it.

Dirt? Honestly? I never notice it when there’s not a lot, only when I am CAKED with dirt.

Dirt always gets in the way. Please remove it.

As for tanning, I think it’s nice, and it can improve some vanities. However it’s way too fast, and you’ll be five shades darker in less than three minutes. I wish there was a button to halt it or slow it. I do like it as a feature though, so keep it.

For some reason I always get dirt accumulation on frostmill
Despite the lack of dirt…

remove dirt accumulation :fire:

Idk, where I live you play in wet snow for a while and your winter coat looks like a pig sty

I think it’s a decent visual feature, I just needs to be reduced
I spend 5 minutes on a dark sea island fighting and I come out looking like I just changed races
Being on grass shouldn’t give dirt accumulation, being around destruction/dirt/mud should

It’s on an iceberg with no dirt
Litterly none
No soil to plant crops
How tf are we getting dirty

I would just make it toggleable in settings

Remove it completely so that I don’t need to have a full inventory of smoothies.

I hate it

I just want to take the most beautiful picture of my char with a clean face :pensive:

That a business idea.

I hate how ‘chore like’ these ‘immersion features’ feel.

Hunger is fine as an immersion mechanic because, again, its REALLY easy to manage, and compliments another existing system. It doesn’t ruin the appearance of my character. Wounds? They are fine because they fade over time.

Dirt and tans you need to ACTIVELY put in effort to get rid of if it bothers you and it SUCKS because it makes you go from just managing hunger to playing the damn Sims by havign to bathe your character, feed them, make sure they are wearing sunscreen- its just WAY too much and actively takes away from the fun of the game.

I also have an issue with my food being too good so I have to wait an enternity for my hunger to go

In settings a button to edit how much tan and dirt you could get would be nice (percents), same with wounds (direct number)

that way if you like wounds you can get them, and if you like some tan (i don’t) or some dirt (i do) then you can select a percent of dirt you can acumulate.

That or a way to freeze your appearence

I don’t like tanning in this game at all given how it makes you completely change your race, so I’d rather have it removed/optional for those that want it

Dirt is something I like personally since it adds aesthetic/theme to my character, but I’d like to control how much dirt I can have so it doesn’t cover my entire face causing my character to be blind (like a little bit of dirt is fine cause funi engineer, but too much just makes him seem homeless), so make it optional

As I always say, immersion features should enhance the gameplay for the player not hinder it

Or coming out of a literal diving spot dirtier than when you entered because chests inflict dirt

dirt gathering and tanning seem like features for a farming sim, not a magic adventure game about mystery
