lore explanation is that it was a piece of chainmail that sunk and got imbued with magic energy so now it can work like a handkerchief

Also we know for a fact arcanium fabric exists from arcmancer and arcanium mage sets why not just use that

I agree why does tanning occur at such a rapid pace… And why in all things divine does it save your tan across play sessions…

i cannot tell, i do a lot of diving and my character is always full of dirt

it only clears the dirt a bit when you get the soaked status effect
and it only occurs when

  1. a sunken weapon hits you
  2. water magic hits you
  3. you surface on the ocean after dipping in
  4. rain

It also works (kind of) if you have Water Magic as your primary and you charge it. Only affects the face for some reason.

IT takes 7 dips to full clear dirt.

Soaked lasts for 11 seconds.

You are literally telling me to spend over a minute bathing myself early game.

this is why i use fire magic and charge and dip up and down 7-8 times and it takes me 10 seconds
dirt is still ass but it makes up for fire magic’s unusability underwater

either that or use the bath in the brig
(or just uk have a heat magic like fire to clear soaked)

Thanks everyone for giving your feedback, going to bring ideas for change to the big man himself. With over 97% of the community here wanting some sort of change to these features, we definitely have the numbers to push for some real change.

So, I am going to push to make the features BOTH optional and easier to manage. I know some of you would like to just see them gone, but a lot of you would still like to see them exist in some form, just not as they are.
