I actually got a Strong Oathkeeper. Traded a headless for it, not sure if it was entirely worth it or not given how boss items are likely not going to transfer into AO. Regardless of how I got it. Really my only priority right now is getting Hard Mino boots. My fighting strategy, don’t know if it’s a good one, is typically to be able to take hits and attack when my opponent is resting.
So I’ve switched my Strong Crossbow for a Strong Oathkeeper and Strong Dual Daggers for a Swift Branch Bow. For the bow this is mainly me testing out which I like more, to be able to land shots more quickly or with more power and more time in between shots. With a Crossbow I do about 120~, little more (like 122-124), and with my Swift Bow I do almost 80 (78). Crossbow has more range but unless the target is standing still the arrow will just miss as they’re not the fastest thing (or maybe I’m wrong and their speed is fine). So yeah currently testing that out but I like it so far, might keep it, might not, I can always switch on a whim.
Mino armor is just better maid gear. It’s literally the same strength + speed and there’s three pieces of it instead of two. I originally was going to switch my Hard Defense Amulet with Hard Dual Bracelets or a Hard Mino Helm but had the brilliant thought that both items give the same stats but my Hard Defense Amulet gives me more defense than my Hard Iron Boots so it’s only reasonable that I switch that out. Plus as far as pants go the Mino pants are the only one that offer any strength bonus.
So in conclusion to this update about my gear; Crossbow → Swift Bow, Dual Daggers → Strong Oathbreaker
Gear I want changed in the future (near or distant); Maid Skirt → Strong Dual Bracelets, Maid Shirt → Strong (maybe Hard) Mino Armor, Iron Pants → Hard Mino Pants

I was and still pretty much am, don’t care too much about items I don’t use/need. I care pretty little about items that other people deem valuable. Sure a headless is insanely rare given how it was a one time event but I only need one, I can’t wear two at the same time nor would it make any difference. No point in hoarding it. Sure I could have waited far into the future, when the headless is worth as much as several ancient scrolls, but the future is entirely uncertain and doesn’t offer me anything now.
tldr; wasn’t using headless/only need 1, can’t be fucked to wait 4-5 years for when their value is insanely high, wanted “q go brrrrr” sword

Nah, going as far as you can with strength is the best. Bad dmg for subpar health is useless.

You might as well use a strong mino helm instead since it gives the same amount of strength but also gives some agility.
True for the helmet and boots but mino armour has more strength than a maid chest too
