i personally like the current dark sea, but it’s not very fun now anymore because there simply isnt enough content in there to last hundreds of hours. it has potential though
In it’s current state it is in it’s in the most bare bones sandbox state as it will ever be

Not a bad idea, but it’d be too easy if it was like that.
I suggest giving the claiming flag the secondary purpose of creating a cylindrical area that will serve as a ‘signal’ to one’s crew members to come and pick up whatever is inside of it (pikmin basically).
I have 4GB Left Without using any Applications the rest is Just to keep PC Function

I usually Close unused applications like Microsoft edge, discord, Google chrome to get as much memory as possible
The fact you need to do that is the first indicator of the problem. I’d get at least 8 free gb of ram.
I only have 1 Stick of 8GB RAM
Get 1 more, they’re like 30 USD at most.
I can do that since I have Money saved up
forget to mention, i gained around 200 to 300 MB of extra memory when i close unused background applications (4.3GB or 4.4GB after i closed unused background applications)

someone’s probably already said everything I’m gonna say but the dark sea is more boring then everything else in the game (even fishing), mirage islands aren’t even worth it most of the time compared to siren rocks, water poisoning is one of the worst mechanics in the game, and the visuals while sailing honestly make it a horrible experience
I love the concept of the dark sea but, at least in my opinion, it needs some rebalancing to what’s already in it to make it worth it before adding new content.

In other news, grass is green.
I love the Dark Sea, but holy shit I’ve had a bunch of runs ruined by being struck by lightning. The acid rain is not as bad, you can take a bath and take your 5 minutes each time you’re hopping off your boat. But if I’m fighting for my life between multiple sirens with still 400 health and suddenly die because of a thunderstrike, losing everything out of nowhere. That ain’t fun.
If there was a way to alleviate the luck aspects, I’d like it more. The last run I went on was so I could make some more Gilded Potions (I only use one Golden Cauldron per run), and I didn’t find a single one. I did find two golden Cooking Pots, though.
I bought Scorched Metal Shards just for it, too. I wanted to make another pair of Gilded Perfect Scorch Gels.
I mean it was pretty fun but also felt like a necessity to get better gear(In which I got none)
But overall despite what you might think it’s prob one of the more fun things to do in AO if you really went through it
getting dark sealed chests are such a dopamine idk
