This is very possible ngl. The effects scaling somehow with the dragons tier
Ah I see
i am a masochist for having ivor as my fav boss bc its a parry/block checks? like i rlly dont find a problem with that
like i genuinely donât get most complains about him
i like him because he lwk aura bro.. jarl ivar tyrant blah blah blah muscular viking dude
Lore wise? Heâs badass
The fight is annoying as AO isnât designed as a block/parry game and his room sucks
Personally enjoying him is whatever thatâs your opinion. But people (like me) donât like as his mechanics clash with AO and other reasons. Every boss favors us being highly mobile, dodging, hopefully a large space. ivor is anything but that
It is nice to have some diversity, isnât it?
Iâd tolerate that
shame vetex does not listen to non testers and ignores testers till it is too late
Sure, builds can be diverse. Ivor mechanically clashes with ao
Yeah, diverse ways for enemies to fight are nice, usually
but when we have like 20 enemies that all favor mobility and then we suddenly have this one guy who wants us to tank the hits to the face? Not many people are actually going to know how tf they are supposed to fight it till they get told how they are supposed to do it. Or remember âOh yeah, this button exists, i can blockâ (Still fucking takes half the damage anyway, also input delay, i swaer i started holding the button before i took damage)
there is zero guidance or information about this during the game, you donât get taught it as a part of the story
I feel like ceaser does What ivor should be. Magic + weapons âslowâ/well telegraphed, heavy large attacks that hurt but can be dodged well though blocking and parryong still valid for some
I think Caesar is best as the natural evolution of King Calvus, which is the slow, well telegraphed, heavy attacks. Ivar should be different in some way, and he was in phase 1.
What is it with Nimbus Sea bosses have a non-replayable first phase that feels a lot more balanced and impactful than their second phase?
Screw the weapons - how about Ruined Archaic Mortars?
That means archaic mortars will no longer explode
Breaking naval combat 101
lost knowledge tomes should just be a participation reward at this point with how niche and useless theyâre gonna be once the Great Balancing comes out
What rock do I need to use for my King Calvus to evolve into a Jarl Ivar instead of a King Caesar?
Any blunt stone for lobotomy
Itâs so sad seeing how difficult they are too get; you have to become treasure charting level 10, then be lucky enough to get a lost treasure chart, then be extra lucky to get the correct lost knowledge book, only for a small stat increase, a rather intense cooldown increase and later the skill costing 2x energy.
Itâs just another niche butchered by the bteam.
