Will there be an optional pvp eventually? I kinda just want to enjoy the story more and it kinda sucks when I’m minding my own business and just get fought 
also not really cool how one time I couldn’t even fight back since this person was a low level and I couldn’t fight them while they just killed me back.
- pvp has always been optional
- if the guys not even at the pvp cap how did he even hit you
- if he was in the pvp cap and hes just lower level, skill issue
- if you get attacked then well fight back

I don’t think Vetex will ever make PvP a thing that you can switch on and off. The only advise I have to you is to try and join low player servers as you encounter people the least.
Due to this, I suggest trying to practice fighting with other players as practice or even high level NPCs like King David Silver so that you have just a bit more chance of fighting off players.

You need certain level to fight people
So theres no way he damaged you

so you couldnt hurt them? did you have a threat on a town or were you in the wilderness?

there was a bug a while back where players below the pvp cap could damage you if you initiated a threat. at least I think it was a bug, idk if it was patched or not

I thought it was intentional…
If I remember correctly it was intentional - low level players were supposed to be able to fight against threats.
Either the threats were supposed to be able to fight back, or vetex really didn’t think that feature through. In any case that’s scrapped now, pvp level has no exceptions anymore.
also honestly I’d be up for optional PvP
In WoM rking isn’t too bad because you can just do quests somewhere else. You can do anything anywhere on the map, so if someone kills you in ironport you can just go to bell village and they’d have to search the entire continent to kill you again.
In games like AO and AA if someone’s grinding infamy/bounty on your current quest island, you kinda just have to leave the game and hope the next server you join doesn’t have someone doing that. It’s way easier for a single bad player on a server to ruin everyone’s fun.
This wasn’t too bad in AA because it was a glorified simulator game and nobody progressed the story anyway, but in AO you can’t make progress by spamming E - fighting NPCs at your level and doing quests on your island is mandatory.
If you’re level 45 and someone’s camping the island for level 45s, that’s much more of a problem than it was in AA or WoM.

ew no, please no. pvp is fabulous, it would suck if there was optional pvp. once you reach the level where pvp becomes available (something I very much look foward to) you can now fight everyone and everyone can fight you. and besides, it would make no sense at all for there to be optional pvp yet simultaneously have pvp only available once you reach a certain level. and honestly I would prefer it if all levels could do pvp but oh well. and if Vetex even THINKS about pulling an Arcane Reborn on this… (oh and apparently the stupid thing about pvp being done in groups didn’t go away in AR…)

AO is based around war. What reason would he have to turn off pvp?
It’s not the main focus sure. But it’s one of the main things that’ll make up AO.

Just kill them. Learn how to pvp in the game and then come back and beat their ass.
That’s called a hacker. Just go to a different server. Crowns dont mean shit in this game.
PvP isn’t going to be an optional setting, if you’re unhappy with people RKing you, just don’t be a skill issue
