Palo town's name

so… i just wanna point out that “palo” in spanish (my native lenguaje) means “stick”
or mostly any sort of long, wooden stuff. i.e a broomstick’s handle is a “palo”
a tree branch can be a “palo”
a staff can be called a “palo”
an even a wooden pole (like the electricity ones) can be a palo,
there is also used for skinny. tall people.

funny enough i have a friend who is tall. skinny. and his name is “pablo” wich sounds like “palo” if u speak fast

Would be cool if this did have some sort of relevance to the town in game and it was like maybe a tall skinny island with a merchant town lol

stick town

Oh god we’ve been stuck bugged

Hmm, funny thing about palo is it means to spank in my language.

Which language is superior

Sticky village of wood

when i saw palo i thought pelo

i apologize

the entire city placed on top of a wooden stick that the player must climb for 15 minutes in order to get there

ngl i’d like that.

especially if the view is good.

maybe you can do fights as you climb the stick

scp-196 is a palo???

It also means fire in Finnish, sea in K’iche’, and, apparently, hit/spank in Tagalog.
Something tells me it’s not going to be relevant to the game and Vetex just made up the name.

Oh, so Wiktionary was right about that one.

palo means slap in my dialect

Classic case of forum over analysis occurring as a result of longing I guess. It definitely is made up and any reference to a language is a mere coincidence.
