True, I guess. I just don’t think it makes much sense for the rare stuff to be fat stat blocks while the common and uncommon stuff gets unique special perks. That feels backwards.

Simple answer, it is very strong. The passive is just addition. very weak equipments on the other hand have passive as their main selling points. Just make them very strong but very niche.

I was worried for a second that this was a suggestion to add passives for wearing all equipment of a single set :sob::sob: (im very against set bonuses, i think it limits build making)

I’m sure we’ll probably get more equipment with unique passives considering we already have the veil (stealth talent accessory) which hides your health bar and reduces the range u can be sensed while equipped.

imo, all the relatively complex passives should probably be locked behind unique equipment while ones that are basically stat increases (ex. +70% extra air) should stay as (or become) jewel stats, or at least not be on some rando common accessory. like instead of the regular diver helmet, maybe it could be on a magic air tank from the diving profession (if that’s ever released). I also remember there also used to be plans to change Evander’s equipment to also give attack destruction

id need to see better passive examples to be convinced cuz it sounds kinda impossible to balance let alone justify working on
…and regardless, if there are genuinely good passive ideas, they’d just be more fitting to add to jewels i guess

Difficult to do something like this, a bit messily written, but I see the idea and the hopes you have for such a concept.

Personally, I’d love to see special items get their own special treatment. Dark Bronze, Apex, anything that doesn’t come with its own special traits and stats (e.g. Theurgist and their gem sockets/warding, for example), you could easily see adding a little something extra to.

But I would have to say that it’s better to make them happen as a whole set rather than just, on their own, with substitutions in some cases due to multiple pieces fitting that same package.

I’d love to personally throw down some ideas of my own, but if I did, I’d be playing a dangerous game with you.

Otherwise, I would love to see equipment that gives something more than the same basic stats, just higher and higher in levels.

Might list the idea for all armor if I got times, maybe like 2 weeks from now cuz I got exam. can remind me if you want :thinking:
