okay but that sounds very niche lel

This seems like a necessary feature. Since you can get all the other spirit weapons multiple times, why not Patrimony? While I don’t like the method, the creator of the suggestion already brought that up.

This is such an incredibly minor problem but one that can be easily fixed. I can’t really say much about it.

Although i do agree that you should be able to have multiple of it, for whatever reason you may need. I don’t think the method you propose would be a way.

I understand your point, but getting stuck by lightning is so goofy bro. Like does Zeus gift you another one? As for the lore, the other spirit weapons obtainment also breaks it since they are supposedly unique without duplicates. And since we’ll be able to obtain a multiple of them and trade them, it isn’t too unteasonable to be able to get duplicates of patrimony (althouth limited to 3)

What I absolutely hate is how people think a suggested feature deviating a little bit from the lore is unneeded or doesn’t make sense when 80% of the game isn’t related to the lore…

If something deviates from the lore it’s already less likely vetex will accept it. Acrimony wasn’t going to be added, Hecate’s essence wasn’t going to be added, build names are being removed.

That doesn’t mean the feature is any less reasonable. Dark sea exploration shouldn’t exist, builds shouldn’t exist, anything the player does that’s not in the story shouldn’t either.

Ikr? Like just make it a visual one. You can’t even trade the thing so it wouldn’t affect anyone but hybrid spirit builds

ah yes let me just create a special weapon forged by zues himself by getting struck by lightning
patrimony doesnt even look that good compared to the other spirit weapons why would you want more?
it might be good for its self buff allowing you to boost generic abilities but over anything else?
stacking it is not needed

again- your opinion on how good it is isn’t a determination on it not having a feature every other spirit weapon has. We have a weapon from Poseidon whose just as important as Zeus; and its duplicable / can be obtained indefinetly.

As I’ve stated earlier, you may want to use its stats (and synergies for some classes) on more default rites.

if you’re talking specifically about it being given from the thunder, i would love to hear some insight. As i have already stated in the suggestion that i would prefer a different solution because the old one was bizarre and unfriendly to new people, who would have to wiki how to get a new one.

i want you to name 6 basic spirit weapon rites that YOU would use in a build that is viable for actual combat and wouldnt be outclassed by the other spirit weapons
also if this is about enchants as well i dont think you can enchant spirit weapons
also another point i have is that ALL spirit weapons tie to the lore in some way because they are created BY the gods for power or influential people not some random navy member or bandit

the weapons we’ve already been shown have been boss drops so its natural for you to be able to get copies but the eagle patrimony is given to you off the rip so even IF you wanted to stack it, it wouldnt even be powerful cus once again, theres simply better opinions

  1. All spirit weapons are the same tier, just with different level requirements (all spirit weapons are T1); they’re all about the same strength— and again, your opinion of its strength isn’t a deciding factor in limiting it in ways that every other tool has. Since they’re all the same tier, Patrimony has cheaper moves without affecting their strength. Your opinion works even worse since this would be a GREAT oppertunity to teach new players about weapon stacking with an immediate example, and would help people who cannot defeat the Spirit Mini-bosses by granting them the ability to use more rites (not obtaining more rites, but with one patrimony: they’d be running around with 5 skills, having to go to through several islands with a slow ass boat, to attempt to defeat a boss that other people will be farming much faster; and pray they can kill a boss with 3x the amount of moves, and mechanics they can’t even use yet).

  2. you can enchant spirit weapons- actually if you couldn’t their base stats would be even more valuable so i don’t see how remarking on this benefits your point. If you need proof— the sensing video, a Dense Ember Staff is used. I also never brought up enchants, because their main use only requires one patrimoy.

  3. If i was running a build- say water paladin; i would probably run two patrimonies. Using the Astropos and Astrapikis would probably be necessary, and the other moves could be decided based on how you build, I’d probably go for Rain, Walk, Burst, Drain, Hound, and Blast. Also, I’d like to point out how we’ve only seen 6 offensive default moves anyways. But just to say, if i were using a build that only had good lightning synergies, i could run two patrimonies for stats, and use the other spirit weapon for its unique skills and to place utility moves one.

again, yes they are unique. But its a feature present on every other spirit/weapon, there should be a solution encase somebody wants to explore a build for that. As for ramifying lore, the Player doesn’t even need to use spirit weapons, they’re part god— and if they weren’t before they now have Poseidon’s spirit activating them.

AO is focused on its lore by extension of Vetex, but he does make some leniencies because its also a game: such as with Hecate essence; Acrimonies; and how abilities are balanced/obtained. I feel like he could agree to give us this bit of freedom for this type of adjustment; and this is the type of thing that could easily clarify lore to people by showing them.

the main thing im confused on is how would you get more patrimonies and anyway there are different LEVELS of weapons but idk if that changes their strength or not

Levels don’t usually affect the strength of weapons, its just the tier that affects stats.

And yes, i agree that getting another patrimony is the hard part— again, I’m not too happy about the Lighting strike, buts its the earliest available and is somewhat on theme; however I do believe that having this one item be different from the rest with no benefit should be reconciled.

Just be able to have some “specter” copies, it won’t change the lore since you can’t trade or spell the patrimony so amount you have is irrelevant and will only affect gameplay, why are people so opposed to this? I want to be able to use the only spirit weapon with such low requirement for my savant. #justice for savants

Yall have been doing all of this talking when we could just add a random lightning paladin level 50 miniboss who rides in a sailboat in the northern bronze sea. Its fairly simple.
