The Eagle Patrimony— the one item in game that isn’t Renewable… whilst some issues regarding its unobtainable status have been resolved (namely its default rites renew-ability)- it still leaves a small problem:
“Weapon Stacking” (i forgot the actual name).

Reminders for AO (Part 4) - #3834 by Hydrauchroma
Upon full release, Weapons/Spirit-weps will be able to be equipped 2 times. Using multiple of the same weapon prevents the person from needing to switch hands- and works well if you need a single weapons stats on several skills.
It was explained to need two of the same weapon (not type, the exact same weapon), and doing such create two inventory items that could have their own exclusive features, notably skills.
For example: two SSwords could be equipped at once; so that the person may have its stats and soak application on more skills; This would still have two hotbar items for their 5 skills, but it’d let the person use 10 skills on the “same” item.
Patrimony is exclusively left out on such benefits since you cannot obtain 2 of them. This is pretty bad, and imo, even worse for spirit weapons since they all have a synergy; alongside if you need only 1/2 synergies, it’d let you equip more standard rites without sacrificing your Unique ones.
Given the situation, a simple fix is needed, a way to obtain more patrimonies. I impose a simple idea:
- Whenever the player is struck by lightning on Dawn Island, they are given an extra patrimony. Complete with its set of default rites; and obviously its unique ones.
This gives a simple, and probably easy to remember way of getting more of the item— this also isn’t the only way this needs to be done… but we do need some form of allowing the Patrimony to use the Weapon stacking feature.
There may need to be some fixes and tweaks to account for this (such as the player clogging their inventory with patrimonies), but it would fix the biggest issue and replace them with small tweaks.
