It’s also the motto of the UK’s Royal Air Force and the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Although, I only chose it since it’s a lyric from the song “Myosotis” in Deemo :p

Yes, “Per ardua ad astra” is the motto of the RAAF, and all commonwealth nation air forces (except India and Canada, which they changed it to “Touch the sky with Glory” and “Sic itur ad astra” respectively)
I don’t know that much about the RAAF, but I got some friends in the Australian Air Force Cadets so I might ask them.
