Since Lost/Ancient Magic Scrolls got changed to finding Hecate Shards, odds are we’ll be able to choose which color variants we get when mutating a Magic.
Its shards and you’re gonna get to pick based on what mutations are available for your magic. Given that you’re going to be choosing in a menu it’s probably gonna be like when you choose your first magic at the start or when you choose your second with the mage awakening. In which case you’ll far more than likely be able to pick your variation. I honestly don’t even know how he’d be able to set it up where you have to find a specific thing for a variation with this system in mind, at least not with a lot of extra tedium on his end.
