Theos mutated into arc-something magic, they simply just have different colors for the same type of magic

This is from Arcane Reborn and probably isn’t canon. The different colors are just cosmetic color variations.
the blue/yellow was bcs of one piece, it has been changed to orange/red(?) like it is today bcs vetex wants to step away from anime influences and what not
if you want some schrodinger canon stuffs then different variants of magic is due to the slight different in personality and whatsnot that lead a person to awakening that specific, which is why theos had blue-yellow phoenix while prometheus was same as allanon (from tech, extremely outdated and 100% not canon and most likely just a concept)
yeah super mutation isnt canon, just a concept that never made it into the lore (would have been cool though genuinely dont get why it wasnt a thing. vetex probably think GRAHHHHH BECOME STRONGER!! was too anime or some shit ig)
If I remember correctly it went from white/orange → blue/yellow → orange/red
Though I imagine if lost’s do get variants then blue/yellow will probably make a return for the Theos fans

Lost magics are confirmed to have color variants
Aether Lightning is another example; he mentioned it having different colors as a result of the yellow of Aether Magic being combined with the other Lightning Magic colors
Phoenix will likely have at least three
psure it was blue/yellow when theos was first added, then later down the line vetex changed it to orange/white (not entirely sure WHEN though)
Theo’s variant could possibly be a color variant if the devs decide to add Lost Magic variants in the first place.

it became white orange because vetex said he looked like a villain with his armor + it looked like a marco ripoff
