Generally, I love it when a solid color list is available with some variation. Makes it less intimidating to a new player imo.
But I also love the option for exact colors, but I’d prefer it tucked away in an “advanced color settings” option so you can have a ui that is both nice and easy to understand, while also giving the option for more “tech-savvy” people to use the almighty RBG hex codes.
People who aren’t as caring will ignore that the specific value options even exist, but people who genuinely want a unique color have the option to make it themselves.

Like, you know the thing where you click on the thing and it returns the value for you?
(Also, while I understand RGB values, I have a hard time fully visualizing these as well. Some color indicators would solve this and any problems with HSV)

So, i do not know if you know the game monster hunter, but in it, picking colours functions like this:
You can EITHER pick one colour from a preset list that never changes- or you can go lower to your saved colour and alter said, changing hue, brightness, etc etc- basically just choosing whatever tone you want yourself.
That would be the most ideal solution, probably.
