Planes that AO Characters would fly if they were in Ace Combat

(Included Project Wingman Craft, because why not) Only curse users get superplanes… which still makes up like half the list.

AO MC - F-22

The most common Ace Combat Protagonist plane, so it’s only fitting that our very generic protagonist gets it.

Iris - F-15 S/MTD

While certainly powerful, the F-15 S/MTD is outclassed by some higher quality jets. However, the enhanced maneuverability can be exploited by talented pilots, making it a force to be reckoned with. Just like Lost Magics, I guess.

Neviro - JAS39C Gripen

Both are weak, however they have potential to grow and improve. From the 39C to the 39E, and Neviro figuring out how to use his damned Curse Inheritance. He doesn’t even deserve a plane in my opinion.

Morden - CFA-44 “Nosferatu”

Morden possesses the Death Curse, so I felt it fitting to give him the plane whose name means “Undying”. One of the most versatile planes, with its raw power as a plane being able to carry even an inexperienced pilot through the campaign of AC7 with little pilot skill required (except on tunnel/canyon runs).

Lord Elius - Su-47

Both are very, very maneuverable. Elius is a bastard to hit for new players with how much he teleports around. Gault Team was certainly the toughest fight in AC0 and the 8492nd Squadron is absurd - I think it fits.

General Argos - Su-34

Despite the heavy armament this plane is equipped with, it still flies at a respectable speed. The same could be said for Argos - extremely heavy weaponry, still moves fast.

Carina - Su-37

For how popular this craft is among enemy pilots, it’s only ever piloted by fodder. Yellow Squadron, Gelb Team… all barely a threat. Just like Carina.

King Calvus - Su-57

Both are frauds. Calvus, despite his Lost Magic and Curse Inheritance, can’t beat a dude who just came out of the mines. The Su-57, despite the money and resources poured into it, is too noticeable to be considered 5th Generation or stealthy.

Warren - ADFX-01 “Morgan”

The Morgan is named after Morgan Le Fay, from the legend of King Arthur. Given that it is likely Warren is Lancelot (fan theory), I found it fitting to give him this beauty of a plane. Hopefully he’ll go off on a quest to destroy all kingdoms and erase borders next, just like Pixy.

Nero - Project Wingman MK.1

There’s no plane that lives up to the title of “Apocalypse Bringer” like the PW.MK1 does. Take a look at Presidia - that’s an apocalypse if I’ve ever seen one.

Wotan - X-02S “Strike Wyvern”

The Strike Wyvern, while not as unique as other superplanes (only unique feature is an EML, which is shared with he CFA-44), is exceptional in the hands of a good pilot, as showcased by the fight against Mihaly Dumitru Margareta Corneliu Leopold Blanca Karol Aeon Ignatius Raphael Maria Niketas A. Shilage.

Nilah - ADF-01 “Falken”

A powerful plane on its own, with weaponry such as the FAEB and 4AAM. A skilled pilot can also take advantage of the potential of the TLS (the sun is a deadly laser) to swiftly dispatch enemies. Is it clear that planes don’t fit well with Curses?

Julian - ASF-X “Shinden II”

Only someone like him would fly that monstrosity of an aircraft. It may be a true multi-role like glass (glass may be basic, but it’s decently effective in most aspects), but it is hideous.

dope!!

super lit!!

dawg :skull:

the hell is this thing

ADF-01 “Falken”

Primarily featured in Ace Combat 2, where it was piloted by the Zone of Endless AI against the player character. It’s also been unlockable in later games, present in 5, Zero, Infinity, and was present as DLC for 7. Manufactured by North Osean Grunder Industries, it was an extremely advanced fighter. I believe it was equipped with A TLS (Laser, basically) during the battle against Phoenix.
It’s one of the most recognizable Strangereal aircraft, alongside the Morgan and the Wyvern.

it doesnt even have a glass thing so the pilot can see :sob:

The Falken, alongside the XFA-27, ADF-011F (if a human is piloting it), and more, all boast the “COFFIN” system, or Connection for Flight Interface. It utilizes sensors on the exterior of the craft instead of a traditional cockpit alongside eye movements and voice commands for movement (for these specific models, while later models had nerve implants for even better movements).

who hell needs vision when the spirit of great nero is guiding you, glory to ravenna!!

Why does this look like something out of Evangelion

morock airplane

nah this is what julian would use

no he wouldn’t
