Player counts dont matter in today’s day and age of roblox if you see on the front page of roblox you see a bunch of games that somehow get upwards on 10k to 300k average players.
Arcane Odyssey does have a player count average of 700 or so but that does not matter
because block tales has 1.4k when it used to have 10k:
I have not been on the front page in so long because by default roblox opens on the home page for me.
interestingly I had a small child one time look at my roblox recommended, note that this child was a blox foots head and then asked me “are those games you played, are they new?” I showed them games like traversal, arcane odyssey and hellmet.
traversal being atleast a year or two old
being a year old
and hellmet being also a year old
this made me realise how the front page is probably getting all these plays ! like pigs to a trough of slop !
Tbh in most cases of high playercount (creatures of sonaria, fisch etc) its just… bots, in my experience.
The games dont have much protection against such and you can partially find servers just full of bots or people exploiting with their moderation not doing much against them.
Botting players should be a bannable offense and if the owner does nothing their game gets taken down its really unfair these type of games get to stay in the spotlight from now into the near future
i agree that player count doesnt matter mostly, although if ao ever reached like sub 300 players then it might start to become a problem
but yeah blocktales has been out for way less time than ao has and yet they have a similar player count so if anything it shows how ao is actually doing pretty good
