literally how do i clear up a large amount of storage space on my laptop. i keep trying different things and it’s barely making a dent.

Yeah anyway go into apps and systems in settings, set the sorting method to highest size and delete some uneeded apps, also try defragmenting and disk cleanup
Maybe uninstall some games

delete a file / app called system32, does some pretty cool things. i mean literally removes all the useless things taking up your storage 
Lacking storage space will be the least of your worries after that

its still insane you can just go and do that
you would think they would make it at least somewhat difficult
yeah and i dont even think its possible to recover your pc / laptop again normally
yea you have to reinstall window again with a usb iirc
reformat your c drive
Sort your folders by largest size.
Delete stuff you don’t need.
