I really want to do a sub 1 hour speedrun but Idfk how to optimize my running any better than rng, pls help.
Idk how much KDS gives, so maybe getting to spawn in Summer Hold then dragging him/pushing him with wind into the pond then slowly killing him with 20% blasts could be a viable strategy to skip like 20 levels.
Other than that crazy, probably dumb, idea I got nothing.
I leveled up by staying in summer hold until I unlock explosion attack, if Summer runs out of quests than go to ironport or riverville, once u unlock explosion just grind in the silent tower until max level
roughly 2-3 apprentice quests worth, good for early levelling kind’ve and I used that strat already to get it in 1.9 hours. (I didn’t use wind to drag him to a pond that would take fucking forever, I just killed him where he was.)
As soon as you reach Novice, focus on killing npcs.
Finding novice tasks is rarer than a strong sunken sword, so killing npcs takes way less time.
As for Apprentice rank, hang out around Riverville and Ironport as they supply a lot of quests and are very close together.
Grinding starter should take you a solid 10-20 minutes so I don’t think you need tips for that.
and also @Saint
those are really good tips for beginners but it won’t get me to it in speedrun time<1hr
I was thinking of more of a quicker way to cheese npcs.
(Like UdavinVeliki’s tip i’ll test out)
(nvm it’s slower than the killing David strat I used but with outside help I could probably make it quicker with someone helping bringing him to the lake before I reach him. I did use it for a few king david kills when my time was going over an hour though)
Killing King David might be best honestly. Just keep killing him and rejoining. Lock him in a wall and shoot it so he can’t hit you but you can hit him.
Quests are good, but take too much time and RNG. Bosses simply take way too long without setup.
You can be an absolute madlad and make a set for each 10 levels. Power only, then trade it to your speedrun profile, might make things alot easier.
Oh alright, let me try my best.

There’s a 5 second cool down between NPC kills, make sure there’s decent space between your next murder.
-
Once you reach level 30, 20 blasts are crucial for crowd control. Just stay at a far enough range and make sure to hit multiple enemies at once, not just focusing on one target. That way you can lower their health all at once.
-
Focus on Bandit Camps. With the recent nerf to weapons, bandits barely do damage, which is great for beginners. Use the second tip I stated when dealing with camps.
-
When you reach level 30, use the story mode quests to gain exp. Novice quests are pain in the asses to find, so this will help in the meanwhile.
-
Serverhop. I cannot stress this enough. As soon as you spawn in, check Ironport and Rivervile and if there are no quests for your rank, serverhop.
-
Once it’s night, most quest givers go to sleep, an ideal way to prevent this is to destroy their beds, that way you have more time to get the quests done.
-
Another way to prevent NPCs from going to sleep and resetting their quests is to attack them with your weakest attack, i advice using a level 20 old dagger or luring evil NPCs to attack them. Best to remain at Friendly Reputation for this.

Do not, I repeat do not, get arrested. This is obvious. An easy way to prevent being arrested is to save the money you’ve gathered from spamming codes. Just pay your fines and you’ll be fine.
-
I’ve ran out of ideas so I’m basically stating obvious things. Prioritize the quests that give the most exp. Quests have a time limit and can de spawn, it would be sensible to look around for other choices before accepting a quest.
That’s all I got for now, sorry if it doesn’t help.
Oh yeah. Also use the new XP code.
The best way to serverhop is to get the combat tag then combat log to make sure your data is saved because hopping immediately after getting xp 5-15 secs from my experience brings back your level. I usually cause a threat and immediately log because it doesn’t send you to jail if you log before the MC gets there.
Happens with infamy too.
