i am very much considering hosting a coin flipping based tourney for a headless with some other cool stuff. Keep in mind there is a real chance this doesnt happen if im not able to do some of the things i want to/if im not able to get much help so dont expect it for 100% certain
please vote on the basis of what you’d prefer to see
What would you prefer the tourney is like?
just call the right side and use some coin flip site
something abstract like a board game based around coin flips
dice rolling instead and based around who rolls higher
engaging and encouraging interaction (ex: mini tasks events to gain advantages, etc)
not engaging and all you do is just guess and nothing else in the event
other (reply w an i dea or im not considering your vote)
0voters
would you take part of this event? (would take place soon after the update, and last a week at most 2)
give us like 5 different possible ways to flip coins, ie:
we can pick between 5 different “coin setups”, such as:
5 floor, heads bonus of 9
2 floor, heads bonus of 5, two coins
etc
the floor is a minimum number, and a heads bonus is a number added to the floor on flipping heads. Having multiple coins lets you roll heads multiple times and also helps against opponents through the last mechanic:
when going against someone, if you lose a coin flip, but still have coins, you lose one coin and restart the flip. So for example, in the above case:
the first person flips a heads (5+9) and gets a roll of 14. The second person flips heads twice (2+5+5) and gets a roll of 12. Having a lower roll, they lose a coin. The next time, the first person flips tails (5+0) and rolls a five, while the second person flips heads (2+5), getting a seven and winning the whole coin duel.
ties (rolling the same final number) just reroll all coins
you can do some fun stuff like making setups with negative coins, where heads LOSES final power.
hm i guess ill let the 2 players have the option to pick either the “board game” or just regular dice rolling
that would be unfair to all the whales out there @LeMeepy
issue with something like that its very confusing and considering how acoustic this community is I’d have to explain that to EVERY contestant EVERY time i barely understand it myself
also could you not just say like “my floor is 9 billion and heads bonus of infinity” and win everytime?? whats stopping you from doing that? and if there is a limit to that surely there are setups to pick which are optimal and i dont want to turn this into a math meta event so
right, but either way surely one option will inherently be better than the other and i want the actual coin flips to be fair, i do intend on ‘advantages’ being a thing but they wont be too strong and not usable later on
