“DPS” does not mean “does damage” or “have aoe”. A “DPS” role is a role that entails dealing a larger than usual or a very consistent amount of damage reliably. Boombox does not fit that role. Biograft and Shuriken fill that role, or more specifically Glass Cannon, a subset of DPS. Boombox does not fall into any subset of DPS.

The ability to provide 40 shield (in exchange for 4 charges of perfectly timed m1s + the m2, which isn’t something you can spam very easily) does not provide the role of “Tank” to Boombox. That’s like saying Coil and Vinestaff are tanks because they heal themselves.

Boombox is a Support Phighter. This is because he can provide some haste to his teammates around him, and can supply some shield in a pinch, along with the Phinisher that grants 50 extra shield for a period of time, and 50% haste briefly.
This could mean

- That this man just hates phighting and loves misrepresenting it/just isn’t good
