Update: Oh golly gee I’m really starting to see it now; twice now, I’ve been pursued by a Shadow Conjurer whose desync is monumental; fortunately it’s not so bad to the point where they’re in hit range before I even know they’re there, so I have been able to flee both times. The second time was on my Acid Warlock though, and the only reason they even got close to me was because my PC’s been having severe lag spike issues recently. Every time I hop onto an AO server, within 5 minutes there’s a spike that lasts for about five seconds.
I’ve tried fighting desync people before, but it feels like fighting a NPC that conveniently T-Jumps and dodges at the exact right time to avoid all damage.
If you cant hit them, then hit whereever they might go. Welcome to attack size discussion.
Anyway I want explanation on why inventory is so fricking laggy
de-sync can also fuck up your sailing abilities
there is 1 bug where after getting on the wheel you cannot turn
and de-sync also prevents you from turning the ship
I think I’m having the bug but after I’m on the wheel I’m still posed up in steering animation, than after a few moments my ship is teleported like 100-300 behind me and i gotta swim while my ship catches up toward the spot where i got dropped off in the sea,
for me it usually ahead of me
de-synch likes to stop my boat unless i am actively at the wheel
It’s godawful in sailing; if you have a ram at all, I guarantee that you’ve either:
That’s not even mentioning ships teleporting into your range to immediately aggro onto you.
I have encountered everything you mentioned
Rammed a ship that instantly teleports away (sometimes i can see a trail in the water to give me a vague direction)
Have a ship appear directly in front of me when i was abt to park on the side of an island
and of course the ships spontaneously appear right next to me and aggro instantly with 0 warning before hand
