AO is a labor of love, a passion project, you can feel it in every cranny of the world and gameplay that it effects. The events, minus Halloween 2024, don’t have that. The events are slapped together just to get some quick attention.
i dont think calling yuletide slapped together is fair

It had effort, a lot, but to me in the same way that a modern disney movie does. It’s capitalizing, it’s not here because somebody thought it would be cool, but because somebody thought it would gather peoples’ attention and wallets.

When people play, Vetex makes money. I can only assume he does these to pay for his real life stuff, which is fine, but it’s not gonna make me happy when he tries to gather a crowd by giving out a seasonal hat for weirdos again
Okay then I honestly think the best solution is just to not play the events. From my perspective I’ve seen the effort Galaga, Astral and Serena put into Yuletide and no this event isn’t as large but they’re busy people who have other responsibilities and even then Vetex probably didn’t want a large event for Easter as testing them and ensuring everything merges into main universe smoothly is a complete pain.
They’ve put the effort in even if you don’t see it like that.

The effort of the devs made the event what it became, and I know they did their best, but it wasn’t arranged in a way I respect.
time is money cuh, and making you go from one corner of the map to another for a dumb quest takes time
so by that logic, the game shouldnt get any more updates since that makes the game money and brings in the wallets
