What is the purpose of this idea?
fleets were generating too much money
NVM my little brain understood it after a few seconds of critical thinking
As such, we made a nerf very negligible in fleet earnings (it’s a lot, but you’re generating way too much money already), but major for players who don’t have fleets
LITERALLY GIVE US INCOME TAX, not this bs
unfortunately, vetex does not have a certification in economy
Seniors in high school don’t either funnily enough
Vetex was doing pee pee in his pants when other devs were learning good game design
think taxes just go reduced to 10% (in newer servers)
but added a 2.5% or 0.25% entry tax (drachmae drain just to enter the market but small) wasn’t really focusing on it cause i’m still staying in the old servers to avoid all this entirely even though i’ll prob need to face it when i wake up tmr
i think the idea of this is to help bring back the value of the drachma close to what it was by draining the players wallets and moving it into a deep dark abyss where no coin ever makes it back out.
Sellers price items more exorbitantly to offset their profit loss from taxes (They still aim to make the usual amount)
Buyers buy those items despite the price hike for one reason or another (They have to spend more)
The ideal result: Overtime due to the marketplace tax, there is less drachma circulating in the economy which brings back its value.
(I don’t know if its going to work or not or if im actually right, don’t flame me, I don’t study economics or have much knowledge on this stuff, just giving out my thoughts and reasoning as to why there’s a hefty marketplace tax)
