The finally get to see how the fight would be and the first thing Vetex decides to show me is that fact that a bunch of his attacks donât connect to the dragon, itâs over leveled and it flies out of your range while being able to attack and move when you canât.
overreacting? absolutely. the dang preview of the new update has blatantly noticeable issues/bugs
(Also nothing is telegraphed as always) Iâm a moron, this is a false point.
I like this game a lot and the memories I made here during release and the months after were so damn fun.
The game keeps feeling worse and worse and every time some yesmanpositivity will come here and give me a half ass reason as to why all the bad features are valid and why I shouldnât call it out.
Because thereâs nothing really productive being said here, and most of it is complete hogwash. I donât like waving peoples feedback off like that but youâre talking about total non-issues. I am a TESTER for the game. Trust that I have a little more insight. Vetex has outright said to us that he is aware specific aoe moves donât hit larger animals, and heâs been looking into a fix. Thats the one issue you pointed out that has any merit.
Then you pointed out âoh its overleveledâ Guess what, multiple levels of dragons, including one barely at 120. You donât wanna fight the level 350 dragon? Surprise! You donât have to. Crazy concept, I know.
âNothing is telegraphedâ. There is a full 3 seconds from when the dragon takes off to fly to when it starts firing blasts in its second attack. This is true for basically everything but its melee hits, which are slightly faster.
You being abrasive. If youâre venting to vent I get it, but this forum sees this every single day. No one reacts positively to any change, so you trying to play it off like there are âyes menâ everywhere is hilarious. This shit was literally the first thing I saw getting on the forums. Not someone talking about âOh wow dragons, cool!â But someone whose played the game far too much and is starting to forget what they loved about it in the first place.
Iâm sorry youâre dissapointed, but Iâve said my point, if Vet fixes the hitboxes issue for aoe attacks, cool, if not, Iâm sorry. Iâm sorry this one bug is an update ruiner for you.
It just gets exhausting seeing shit like armor damage get in the game while the actual appeal of the update is left buggy.
No, I havenât experienced armor damage but man it doesnât take a prophet to see how its going to be recieved.
You know that nobody asked for it and nobody wants it just as much as I do.
Every second that was spent adding this awful feature that detracts from the game should have been spent polishing the dragons further.
Dude the melee hit that got vetex was unclear as hell, Include the pillar attack which was also basically instant. With bigger dragons even with levels it wouldnât make a difference. You will be hit by instant close range hits while dealing with dark sea rain and massive sized projectiles and explosion. Thatâs god damn ice for goodness sake, Imagine this with a faster magic? hell nah.
Also yeah I shouldnât fight the dragon thatâs over leveled because itâs something Iâm meant to fight after 5 years of 25 levels per half year (possibly). WHY EVEN ADD IT THEN.
also you canât just ask me to not be negative when almost every single update brings bad changes or negative effects that are completely unnecessary.
No on reacts positively to any change because after some pattern recognition youâd realize that most features despite usually impressive or cool on the surface always come down to issues that canât just be ignored.
So many annoying features get in and itâs all because Vetex is ignorant about how it feels from the player perspective. We fund this game and itâs working. If itâs ass then Iâll call it ass. if itâs peak then iâll call it peak.
We didnât want armor damage either, but every attempt to discuss it was completely shut down. Its here to stay, it seems. In testing it doesnât pop up a lot.
Donât take this as me saying I agree with every descion that is ever made on the game. Hell, I basically entirely agree with what you said, its just that the issues being pointed out here arenât that. If people post release made enough noise about armor break itâd definitely get changed. Hell the most effective way to get it changed is for people to complain about something after itâs released.
Most people shut us down pretty hard when we complained before Armor break was even in TU though. Saying that âif you havenât played with it you donât get to have an opinionâ (Which is paraphrasing it wasnât that abrasive and rude).
All I can say is Armor break isnât as intrusive as you might fear. Would I prefer the feature be cast into the abyss never to return? Absolutely.
I mispoke a bit there. Itâs more like what I said later where Vet didnât want to hear a dozen of us constantly complaining about it because it âwasnât even finished yet and you donât know how it worksâ.
Which was a bit valid considering how many people crashed out during full release testing about changes that were announced but had no details (Looking at you fall damage)
when armor break happens, can you just pop the repair kit to instantly have it repaired? it might not be too bad considering that the only enemy that procs it also gives you scales to sell and make your money back
