So recently, I came up with an idea, prisma magic. It’s a mutation of light magic, it’s basically just rainbow magic idfk
please leave some ideas for it in replies :pray:
Maybe it has a stronger blinding effect and is faster?
Anyway here’s the symbol, I got the circle from here Tobi’s Magic Circle Hub - #739 by sock and took inspo from Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon album cover.

No offense, but this is the kind of magic that a 12 years old would come up with for their Half Demon / Half Wolf / Cool / Nice / Funny / Single / Has Evil Split Personality / Orphan / Lonely / Cool / Secretly Powerful ‘character’ that is literally just their self-insert

I totally do not have a written world that involves Magic, with one type basically being this exact concept, down to being an evolved form of Light Magic. Nope, not at all, totally!!!

Anyway, I think the basic idea of Rainbow-themed Magic is pretty cool, and could open up for a lot of smaller concepts on how it’d work. I like the Pink Floyd reference for the Magic Circle, but if Prisma Magic was a real thing, it would probably be a gemstone with shine particles around it.

The effect could be a stronger blinding effect if we wanted to be basic, or it could add saturation to the target’s vision to screw with them in a different way.

PRISMA MAGIC STATS (maybe)

  • x0.875 Damage
  • x1.4 Speed
  • x1.05 Size
  • Averages of Light Magic and Glass Magic stats.

Spells are visually like Glass, but with a gleam that causes a rainbow ray to shine down towards the ground, doing small amounts of damage as a target stays in the ray. Would allow for those with worse aim to still do damage consistently on spells that don’t pulsate or have comically large sizes. Could also serve as a way to mark enemies with the Javelin spell.

Direct hits with spells cause the “Iridescent” Status Effect, which can stack. One stack equates to one Blind Layer and a Bleed-like DoT that does low damage, as well as causing an afflicted target to gain a rainbow glow. Clear synergy with Blinded, and neutral with Shadow Magic.

If you think this Prism Magic is on the level of what 12 Year Olds with a Power Fantasy creates, you have no idea what they actually create lmao

This is a relatively basic yet cool looking mutation of Light and Glass

Yeah, I just thought it would look cool, it’s not supposed to be op or anything, especially since light magic is weak asf and glass is lowk mid

Every time u cast a spell it gives a different base elemental effect, with its color matching that element
