Arly and I are already planning on commissioning an art piece if / when I get Master Brewer, of the two of us as well as whoever gets Master Jeweler (either Selectorch or maybe Jetex? Either way, I don’t think either has passed a million yet, doubtful it’ll be done by Darksea).

Shit’ll be beautiful.

Oh it’ll be absolutely amazing.

Also, I never apologized for dragging you into that random ass sequel-suggestion post about you getting master brewer.

So, what kinda ingredients do you need to be donated for the best EXP gain?

Not your fault at all broski, I appreciate it. I get a lot of people think of me as playing second-fiddle to arly, but me and him are good pals. Keeping each other motivated as we keep going. I just think I didn’t really deserve it at 2mil, is all.

I appreciate all concessions, but no need to empty your pockets for me. I’d be more than happy to compensate with Galleons or any other scrolls, items, etc. you could want for 'em. My brews are very simple; cheap reagent, two common catalysts. Askew roots, bones, seaweed and glass bottles are my most common XP brews.

someone already reached a mil

Well I still feel bad because it just devolved into stupidity and I just kinda didn’t do anything about that.

Anyway, if I can catch you online, I have plenty of potion ingredients I will never go through.

Holy hell, didn’t even see that one.

Sorry, somehow completely missed this earlier? Not exactly sure how, my apologies. Was fishing with arly for two or so hours, I’m still in the server trying to finish off this Luck cauldron if you’re on right now. No worries if not, my schedule for tomorrow is just about dead open.

Man, at this point you could setup a potion shop as well hehe. Just curious though, how many bleeding potions you got

Also

Just switched to this as well fairly recently to practice direct hit crashes, it is hella fun to have incredibly reliable rushdowns. Damage aint that bad either.

I’ve considered it, but most of the good stuff I brew just goes off to buddies or people who ask nicely.

Blundered with 'em a little bit. I have about 47 Tier III Bleeding Novas, which is great, but I blew a ton of shark teeth during the race to 2 million XP, leaving me with a few hundred Tier I Bleeding Vials that I’m never gunna use.

Love me some direct crashes. Always nice, especially when you’re on 20% size. Boxing’s Rushdown scared the hell of out of me the first time I used it. Didn’t expect it to take me that far at all.

on a non-brewing note, swapped to Earth + Basic and I’m having a pretty good time with it.

So close yet so far.

Seeing you change fighting styles again makes me wonder what your favorite fs is with earth magic. I have a feeling it’s earth thermo but that suffers from the warlock memory leak terribly.

Earth Thermo was probably my favorite, yeah.

Earth + Basic: It’s honestly a better version of base Iron Leg, but Iron Leg’s bleed makes it better on Warlock with certain imbues.

Earth + Boxing: Statwise, it’s worse than Basic Combat in every way. Still fun regardless.

Earth + Sailor: Fuck ton of AoE and great damage, only downside is that you can’t cause Bleed for yourself without Gel (Warlock Ultimate Arts when…)

Earth + Thermo: Basic Combat’s damage, just about Basic Combat’s speed, just about Basic Combat’s AoE, but a nice Burn and a pretty fast Crash. Very consistent and reliable.

Earth + Cannon Fist: Might be alright after the CFist changes, but with slow imbues it’s currently just a shittier Iron Leg.

Earth + Iron Leg:

This has just turned into “Pristine hits people with rocks”

Gah damn, 3 million exp? That’s some grinding right there. On average what do you think is the most common regent you find yourself using?

It’s changed a lot over time.

Overall my most brews by far are with fish bones. They’re very easy to trade for and I know quite a few people who love to fish. I also find myself fishing with arly quite commonly, so it’s always nice to snag a few hundred bones per session. Back during the race, an indirect trade with AlexSchulyer (the Fishing Champion) netted me six thousand. I’ve brewed upwards of seventeen thousand vials of Harming I.

Second place has to be seaweed, as I stocked up a decent amount myself before the Brewing update, not to mention how much I bought some from people who grinded a comical amount on their own.

Toxic seawater takes third place, though I haven’t used much recently due to how time-consuming it is to fill bottles. It’s very easy to get trades with randoms for their empty bottles, and it was definitely a big part of my success in the initial race to 2 million Brewing XP.

Those are the top three. Askew roots and both kinds urchin spines I also find myself using quite commonly. I’ve also gotten a ton of scattered bursts of XP courtesy of Auric seaweed (I have over 100 Tier V Waterbreathing cauldrons) and other readily-available Tier V potions.
