Pristine's Potion Pursuit: The Quest for 100 Million Brewing XP

Time, Dr. Freeman? Is it really that time again?

Howdy all. I’ve been gone a long, long time, and I think it’s about time I continue on the journey I started all the way back in 2023. Destination: 100 million Brewing XP. My updates to this thread may be rather inconsistent as life has gotten a lot busier for me over the last year or so, but I still plan to slowly work my way towards that final, beautiful goal.

Link to the original thread: Pristine's Potion Pursuit (5mil progress)

All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.

1/18/2026: 1.234 million XP.
Full-brewed: No.
Reagents: Overstocked.
Catalysts: Medium stock.
Notes: Want to save what I have for a bigger brew in a few day’s time. Harvesting was massively over-nerfed, but it’s still the best way to gather catalysts without going broke. The Brotherhood of Balance / Proxy Knights are also very helpful in this regard, but their spawns are too inconsistent.

Shark fins, bones, and teeth seem to be the best for this. Get thousands of em without even trying, make a ton of t3’s, get tons of exp. Id wager you could knock at at least the halfway mark by the end of the month if you just really cranked out potions.

It’s not nearly as much of a slog as it used to be, haha. Getting to 5 million back in the day took me around 3-4 days (36-48 hours) in total of sitting at a cauldron. During the race to 2 million, I stayed up for 2 days straight doing nothing but brewing. Now that you can multi-brew and and you’re showered in common catalysts and reagents (compared to old rates, at least), the task isn’t nearly as herculean as it used to be.

You know what, you incentivize me to do some dark sea run to farm metal scrap. It will be long but honest work.

Imma be metal man. Thanks. Anyway goodluck.

do you happen to use fleets to gather reagents and catalysts?

I do not, but I wish I could. After Harvesting’s initial nerf it’s pretty useless, both for XP and even for gathering rarer reagents. I do hope it gets re-buffed; for now I simply use Trading, as it’s the only useful Fleet function besides Plunder / Patrol.

harvesting is still VERY strong since you can get leg scales, white eyes scales, and other rare reagents with no effort. you can also use fishing to get a lot of fish that you can let rot to get a lot of bones.

In both cases, the money you make from Trading can be used to buy both rare and common Reagents (and Catalysts) from the Auction House at much better rates than Harvesting or Fishing can provide. I can get 10-20 Legendary Scales from the Auction House per hour with Trading’s income, whilst Harvesting can provide maybe one or two. In a similar vein, whilst Harvesting makes maybe 1000 drops per hour at max fleet, I can buy 8000 Catalysts or 6500 Reagents from Auction House with the money Trading would make in that same timeframe.

It’s a shame. I wish they’d buff Harvesting back to its old strength.

Economy gets kinda fucked when it’s more efficient to buy resources second-hand than produce them
