More information:
Clan members would be allowed to communicate with each other on a private message board; including a local server thread and a global clan thread. It would serve as a place to introduce yourself, ask questions about the clan, or in the case of clan leaders, organize large events. It would include local Infamy updates that already notify members in the server. Every hour, clan leaders would be allowed to notify every online member with a message that begins a seperate thread; which could be something like ‘Dark Sea run in 30 minutes, join [username]’, or ‘Members required to preserve claim at Limestone Key’. High ranks would be allowed to notify everyone in a given server in a message every 5 minutes. Players would be allowed to customize the notifications they recieve; whether they want to exclude global messages, server messages, non-specific mentions, etc.
Why implement?
The face that clan communication is entirely restricted to third-party platforms creates a hassle for clan leaders who wish to build a proper community, and excludes those who prefer not to use sites like Discord. The implementation of a message board both allows clan members to stay connected and more simply organize in-game actions like Dark Sea runs, island claiming, declaring war, or other activities without individual messages.
