Problems with AO

I’m just gonna say, fast travel is going to make Vetex’s entire game design and principle redundant, since the goal here is to make the experience immersive while getting feedback as its still Early Access

all comments 1-20 tell me is that you have no clue how to level, hence the my statement that you provide no reasonable counterclaims to literally anything I discussed

it’s to the point where I actually can’t tell if this is a troll post or not

i havent seen anyone mention this yet

but cooking gives a decent amount of exp

i leveled up twice purely through cooking when i was stuck at sailors lodge lol

My idea is an NPC you go to in order to travel to another town. Just makes travelling easier.

I’m curious now. What did I say was unreasonable?

Adding this adds no value to the game experience and is only for convenience sake, you know this

Personally, most of the things listed are kinda your skill issue. (Although, to be honest, there has to be a stat/scaling cap for OP builds that do 500 dmg and cover an entire island).

I’m confused. Is convenience a bad thing?

Explain what I said exactly?

Game design wise, yes. It undermines all the effort a developer does to make a game immersive

I don’t mind having the ability to set spawnpoints, but having fast travel is just a no. Like imagine Assassin’s Creed or Elden Ring where you can just teleport to the final boss. It completely ruins the immersion factor.

if some stuff is made too easy it removes the point of certain features and goes against the creator’s wishes

not true at all , best repeatable xp quests are duels or fishing quests due to the xp you gain from damage/kills or catching fish respectively , but doing quests for xp is a waste of time

they’re a 100% drop from them you brainlet

there are quests that give you cargo to transport for free on multiple islands

pro tip: the harder ones tend to give a bit more xp

Yeesh I left for two hours and this turned into a HUGE thing.

How does it undermine the game’s immersiveness? In a way it can be seen as spawning at a different town, therefore you spawn in Palo Town then sail to sink pirates. You’re not teleporting everywhere you wish, its just limited to populated areas.

The man has sheer determination and willpower to voice against an entire vetforum

don’t confuse salty stubbornness and a lack of intellect for willpower
