How do you increase your “profession” rank? Like I’m lvl 125, got 250k+ bounty and have been playing for almost 70 hours, but it still says “apprentice mage” for my rank. There’s other people who got novice ranks or higher that aren’t even max lvl, so how do I increase my rank?
I believe that title is directly correlated to your level and skill points.

So apprentice is the max rank for now? I could’ve sworn that I’ve seen people before with a higher rank, but maybe I’m just dumb ;-;
Did you not put everything into magic? Because there is one higher tier that is currently obtainable.

The scaling is really strange, the “initiate” rank which is higher than “apprentice” (I think) can only be obtained by hybrids currently.
If you play a class that focuses all into 1 stat, you can have apprentice at max. If you have a class that focus on 2 stats, you would get initiate. Lastly, if you’re a Savant, you would get adept at max
The build titles that you are referring to go up from Rookie to Novice to Apprentice to Initiate and possibly adept; each different build title goes off the skill points of your highest stat and what build you’re going with a table in the wiki. For example if your stats as a Savant were 40 Vitality, 60 Strength, 60 Weapons and 90 Magic you would be an Initiate Savant.
