Arcane odyssey has been my favorite game from when I discovered it, at its release.
The world, the story, the system.
Everything is great and I have always a lot of fun playing it.
The one thing though that I always had beefs with is the fact that one who is not born with magic will never be able to learn it, whatever he does.
Now, there have been a lot of changes in lore lately and a LOT is still unknown, practically almost everything, but the literal description of magic is very clear on it:
“Only those lucky enough to be born with it are able to use it”
Absolutely clear. No way around it.
But…
What if someone was “born again”?
Some time ago I was reading in the forums and I seem to recall having found someone saying that the acrimony has no effect (???) in lore since there are no classes in AU and everyone is free to learn what they want.
But what if the acrimony in AU gave the possibility to awaken magic to those born without it?
I’ll leave this here, do what you want with it.
But at the next QnA I’ll surely try to ask for info.
why the hell would magic dust found in the dark sea not grant someone a magic if they were to come into contact without for the first time
like logically that makes absolutely no sense considering how the dark sea basically is a giant, wet, pseudo-alive example as to how magic can affect living beings, regardless of if they had magic or not.
I’ll try to explain this again. If you were to go out and buy a hair dye to make your hair green, it wouldn’t work if you were bald. Same goes for Magic cocaine; if you change your element, but you don’t have one, it won’t work.
