The gameplay justification is to give magic users a distinct gameplay identity compared to other classes. Spirit and Weapons can switch up what they use (eg. Scald Tooth Dagger (burn) vs Poison Tooth Dagger (poison)) depending on the situation, but magic users have to deal with being locked into a specific magic, and its strengths or weaknesses. As for Strength builds, their identity comes from more unique gameplay mechanics (heat gauge for example).

I don’t anymore really because of the pristine amazing game design, the point is a dev product shouldn’t cost the same as entire games

and in the future anicent magics will prolly be based on mutations, changing your magic for a better mutation is kinda unbalanced

That its just a feature, an addition to make game more full. The sole reason of new stuff is to add more content that could help people but doesnt have to at all, however there are some cases of people where they complain about no feature and when it gets added they complain about the said feature
