Proposal #1: Adding a PvP arena gamemode/server that would be unlockable via level and would be accessible via the menu. Teleports the player to a screen there is a casual and ranked gamemode option and puts them in a random arena against another player. This could also be applied to 2v2, 3v3, and etc.

Proposal #2: Trading “resort” (inspired by loomian legacy and pokemon brick bronze). This would also be unlockable via level and accessible via the menu. Player would click trade resort or (name variable) wtv, then be teleported to a server/different small map where they could discuss with other players who also want to trade.

Reason for PvP Arena:
Arcane Odyssey has fantastic mechanics and a rich story, but the community often faces issues like the divide between PvP and PvE players, as well as random ganking of low-level players. A dedicated PvP Arena mode would provide a structured space for competitive battles, reducing these problems. While Elysium is meant for PvP, it can be difficult to find active servers, and there’s little incentive to play there beyond personal bragging rights.

Reason for Trade Resort:
Currently, most trading happens off-game through forums or Discord. A dedicated in-game Trading Resort would make the process more accessible for all players while keeping activity within the game. This would encourage more trading, make it faster-paced, and increase the player population in the main world as people farm rare items specifically for trading.

TL;DR:

  • PvP Arena Mode: Unlockable by level, accessible from menu. Casual & ranked options (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc.). Solves PvP/PvE community split, reduces random ganking, and provides structured competitive play.
  • Trading Resort: Unlockable by level, accessible from menu. Dedicated server/map for player trades (like Pokémon Brick Bronze). Keeps trading in-game, makes it more accessible, and encourages farming rare items to trade.

This is already kind of coming in the form of clan servers as well as servers for people with PvP set to on, and also in the form of duels, though 2v2 and such gamemodes could possibly be coded into the existing mechanic

Kind of exists in the form of marketplace, but I’m kinda more keen on this one. Though, again, perhaps it would be better to add a marketplace function where the player can set the items they want in a trade and check the trade requests to see who they want to trade with.

Once again all the things you mentioned about a pvp option are not meant for pvp, just because there is a pvp on server doesn’t mean its meant for pvp, also, not every is in a clan sit abt doesn’t make Danes, and lastly you have to find someone to request a duel while its much easier to simply match make people, also the map is too big for pvp we need smaller maps like chime

Rather than those two options, why not just make them both in one?

A trading world seems boring and useless considering marketplace exists but why not add a betting entertainment on people fighting in the arena in the middle.

Would pretty much be similar to Elysium except more public, though that begs the question, why would people use Elysium when they can take over the arena I guess.

matchmaking is a bit more convenient i guess but not really by much. you can just server hop and send duel reqs if ppl arent busy

the map is kinda big but duels have an area limit so idk it probably wont be that much bigger than a chime map

Bro it is MUCH more convenient than server hopping just to find one duel, secondly, dueling in an open world map is laggy and tiresome if they decide to run or wtv, a separate server and designated map improves performance and quality of the 1v1

Yeah it does? People who play in PvP on servers play there because they want to fight other players in an open world setting. PvP servers are literally meant for PvP.

I absolutely cannot decipher what was written here

You usually do that by playing on servers with players who do PvP. Duel areas will also be limited.

That’s the neat part, you can’t run, otherwise it’s treated as a loss.

Playing in a pvp server doesn’t make the server entirely about PvP, it just makes the players that don’t mind PvP in the same map, which is still huge for the server player count, secondly, your missing the entire point about a designated PvP area, every other game has PvP in game, but because it takes so long to find other players and tedious it doesn’t work, it only works in deepwoken because u can have an origin that teleports you near the player you want to kill. The whole point is to designate pvp into a specific area and actually give incentive rather than separating pvp on and off servers.

I see your point, but the thing is, it’s not that these features are bad, I just think there could be a better way to implement them

I believe Elysium is supposed to get a boss raid feature eventually, meaning it’ll be more open than it is now, so I think that adding these features to an already existing area is better than making a whole new one
