all of these “players” with pvp turned off is legitimately ruining the game. i love the feeling of hunting down lower level players like im mihawk in the east blue

I feel like having an option to go into a non pvp server or into a pvp server would be better. As someone who hates pvp I don’t want the fear of continuously getting ganked while playing. I want yo just enjoy playing Arcane odyssey. Before full release I had a max agility build so I could out speed people trying to kill me. I made people hate trying to pvp me because I was way too fast.

Even if pvp toggle killed the game (it didn’t) that would still be the version I’d rather play.
What was the consistent minimum player count the game had before pvp toggle? 1-3k.

The difference? With the former, I had no peace of mind while doing legendary treasure charts and shit because at any given moment, despite the fact that I always had LESS THAN 50,000 FUCKING RENOWN, some BITCHASS BASEMENT DWELLER might come kill me with a meta build that I can’t compete against and poof goes my chart. I would periodically clear my fame at the navy to make sure I had nothing worth hunting and people would STILL go after me. And in spite of that, the game only had a marginally greater amount of players.
I’d 100% bet that the Roblox’s stupid fucking chat update plays a bigger role in the decreasing player count than pvp toggle. And obviously those are just minor factors compared to the player count naturally dropping off a while after updates.

To be fair Vetex purposefully enabled Ganking lol, I wouldn’t exactly blame them for being mad that they got farmed for money.
As he said before, Games like these often die without PVP so it was necessary to do that back in the day. The game would have actually died a long time ago if the game never had PVP in the first place.
