Question about AO builds

In order to have a Mage build, and get five magics, do I have to put every stat point into magic? Is there a certain percentage I have to put in?

Heard it was 60%

60% magic or more

Where was that said?

Trello. In one of the patchnotes vet changed the minimum amount of stat points into a second stat to be classified as a hybrid to 40%
Meaning to not be classified as a hybrid youd need 61% or more of your stat points in magic

Wow, that allows for a lot of creativity.

Wdym?

Fluect and Mim

Also math like nuclear said, except 60% is considered a single stat, not just over 60%

60/40 would be a mage build

They had a false equivolance of

If you have 40% in a stat = Hybrid

When it’s actually

If you have at least 40% in a stat = You can become hybrid

Even a Savant can have up to 59% in a stat while still being Savant

Hybrid Inequalities

60%>Both Stats ≥ 40%

Savant Inequalities

40%>1st stat 60%>2nd stat

Single Stat inequalities

Any stat ≥ 60%

You know, I just considered something.
Magic hybrid builds only get 4 magics, what’s the disadvantages for going hybrid strength and weapons?

The only magic hybrid class that can get 4 magics is savant, every other hybrid can only get up to 3…

Not sure where you heard that… or why you’d come up with that?

Since it wouldn’t make much of any sense for Savant, the hybrid class with the least amount of magic required, to have more magics than a Conjuror or Warlock, which requires a higher percentage of magic.

Inferno said Savant’s awakening choices can get a 3rd of something if you didn’t want to pick the alternativ in your 2nd awakening.

Also look at the awakening cards, only Savant/ Mage get 2 picks of magics for both awakenings

I’m still not sure about the awakening system and how its going to work.

Think about this, on the card it says that you get the second awakening at (or around) level 250.

Between level 250 and 1000 is plenty of skill points to specialize in literally anything else, it was said way back that we’ll be able to re-specialize with an item.

I seriously doubt I’d be able to unlock my 5th magic by going down mage path, respec, and then go for a 5 magic hybrid build.
Or do the exact same thing without respeccing.

When I asked about this, I got answers like “You’ll change your awakening”

Imagine you accidentally put 1 extra point in a 60/40 mage build in the wrong stat and lose a primordial magic

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I would imagine that there would be a prompt in the case such an event were to happen in the case that such an event would be projected to happen in the case of a respec, if not then tough luck.

i don’t think you’d lose it, it just wouldn’t be useable until you respec back into mage

I agree. Like, if you were to get a second magic and then lost that awakening by becoming a warrior or warden or something then that magic would more or less be “locked off” but if you got that awakening again/back then you’d gain access to it like before.

Actually pretty sure it’s only 3 for most. First, second, and one either lost or ancient magic
