Question: How Argos uses devourer, if it's should be destroyed?

Latest book from one secret location tells us about forging arcanium and devourers metal and says that after absorbing curse, devourer’s blade gets destroyed, so how Argos used devourer in his last phase, if this blade should be already turned into dust? Does this devourer still had cloud curse inside it or how the blade was saved?

Perhaps Argos had two devourers on his operation?

If its destroyed blade argos wont just wield it and trash it away.
I think ravenna have many devour blades and argos just switch the blades
Book says devour things are hard to make, and argos uses cursebane at his LAST phase right before death.
we can assume using cursebane was the argos’s final card because blade will break when he kills us.
(maybe only when stabbed into the curse users but its still special card)

“Hold on, my legendary sword that takes decades to create and seconds to destroy just broke, let me get another one”
Maybe that’s why the doors in the Ravenna castello are so thick, so that we cannot get the devourers

In this case, I don’t think “destroyed” truly means broken beyond recognition. What I think it might mean is that the devourer loses its original effect after siphoning out all the power of a curse. It can probably serve as a passable sword without the original magic channelling function, but it probably won’t channel more after that use.

I’m pretty sure its been confirmed that he was using a different one during the fight

Cursebane wasn’t the devourer Argos used to murder Beringer with.

Nah I think it gets destroyed after the curse user dies and that Beringer only dies after the fight.

It’s stated it’s after the curse not removed, not after death and I believe that vetex confirmed that cursebane isn’t the one beringer was killed with

What’s implied with the way devourer’s work is that if they absorb a curse, the blade just sorta explodes and the curse sits where it was because the blade wasn’t strong enough to contain it for more than a couple seconds.

Were it stabbed into a normal person, they’d probably lose all magical capability for a good while and it most likely wouldn’t ruin the blade much less destroy it.

In this case its would have been more logical, if Argos was able to steal our magic energy in third phase.

I agree, given that the entire point of those swords is that they are extremely good at absorbing magic lol.
