Can I get some tips on how to use Gold? I just came out of speed territory with Wind and Lightning so a slow magic is going to be hard for me to grasp.
I am really confused on how to use it properly, so advice would be greatly appreciated.

So Luna who seems to be really good with gold does it this way (I gathered this from a grand total of 1 video).
Use one 100/100 blast and predict where they’re gonna go and hit them. You’re using the heaviest magic you can do easily over 200 damage with this. Repeat. When you see an opportunity use double 20/20 blasts for like 500 damage.
My own advice. Use 2x self explosions 100 size when you’re in range because damn this thing does some serious damage.
When at long range use beams.

Ah and don’t forget range is gonna be super important for you. I’m a light user and today a gold lvl 62ish decided it was a good idea to rk a lvl 80 and they used the 100/100 thing so I fired back with 100/100 and here’s the thing.
Light is fast. So I can just spam high jumps and fire from longer ranges, while the gold user is likely to miss because it’s slow. If you’re amazing at aiming sure you can hit but like it’s nowhere near as easy. The gold user made the mistake of, rather than closing the range, running away, which simply meant I got to blast them more. And when they fled to a bunch of trees, I pulled out oathkeeper and then they combat logged.
Either way the moral of the story is don’t forget range. 100/100s are fine at short/medium range but at long ranges use your beams.
Try to close the distance as much as possible so the colossal speed downside doesn’t hinder you as much.
well, I’d recommend you use beams and try to close the distance. Then use blasts. I personally just use 20/20, but as everyone else recommends, you should go 100/100. If you are able to catch them completely off guard, and under no other circumstances do you do this, hit them with a full 20/20 20 blast. It fucking melts through their health like butter.
However, after you’ve learned how to use it, you can have some fun. In my opinion, there is no other way to play the game than a full glass cannon gold build. You either kill them in 5 seconds, or you’ve been shot/burned/soaked/melted/frozen/bonked to death in the same time span. It is exhilarating. It’s not the most meta way to play the game, but definitely the most fun, in my opinion. Would recommend you do it at least once.

I practice against a gold user in my guild and destroys just about everyone in my guild, i notice he uses beams often since beams dont have travel time and basically does as much as a blast attack on average damage magics.
You’ve basically switched the game from easy mode to hard mode.
except gold does like 50 percent more damage, which is huge.
I think of it more like swapping weapons, you trade a pistol for a shotgun.
Sure, you can’t use a shotgun at the same range as you could a pistol, but holy fuck is that guy dead once you hit him.
Beam spamming in mid range and long range is the way (recommend 100% size) watch out for dagger user tho, and in really close range it is basically ur area so double blast and double explosion is the way. Also if u wanna hit blast more often try to jump slightly higher than ur opponent and hit them. Gold require alot of prediction and hard to master so ye good luck
gold self explosions are also incredibly powerful. some people retaliate with their own self explosion at close range but if they dont have lava magic you will always win in self explosion damage
