so a few months ago (right before april fools this year) I got perma banned on two of my accounts (my main and an alt) for a rule that 1. I had no knowledge of, 2. wasn’t in the rulebook until a few days after my first appeal was denied and 3. contradicted itself and the circumstances i was in at that time (the mods assumed I was planning to exploit in AO because I was in a discord server that gave a script executor, even though I have never thought of or intended taking such route, HAVEN’T taken such route and I stopped using said server’s services mere weeks before the ban).
now after I was looking around in the in-game rulebook I noticed a part of section 0 that states the following: “You may appeal your most recent strike after 3 months (90 days) with a “clean” record in the given time. You may attempt to appeal any strike at any moment if you believe you have not violated the rule broken.”, and I think that it is worth a shot using this clause for another chance due to the earlier mention of my circumstances pre-ban and my clean record since the ban (I haven’t even played AO across any account after the ban until start of August and I haven’t done anything rulebreaking before and since then)
so my question is, can I or can I not attempt to appeal one last time while keeping this in mind, and if so, is there a chance that it’d work?
If you’re referring to an in-game ban, your best chance at receiving assistance would be by joining Vetexgames discord and opening a Support ticket so you can discuss your situation with a game mod.
If you’re banned from Vetcord as well you might need to make an alt to join it and make a ticket.
Thanks for the help, and yes, it is an in-game ban, but I have already tried using support tickets twice, and both times I did so ended in nothing more than disappointment and the popular “You are welcome to play on an alt”…
You’re welcome to try for a support ticket. I obviously can’t say whether or not it’ll be accepted. But if you believe that it should be looked at again feel free to make a ticket.
ok I managed to finally build up the courage to send a ban appeal within Vetcord… I have only an eight-minute video from months ago (which was attempting to show how I am no longer a member of the server I was found in, have never thought of exploiting and don’t have any exploit-related files within my laptop), this forum post and memorized dates as usable “proof” so wish me luck ig
Youre welcome to play on an alt is a damn joke lol. Why are yall so persistent to unban the main when regardless of an alt or main the exploits would remain the same and you can do just as much as you would on any account? Make it make sense!
We don’t chase-ban every account that exploits because that would be impossible to enforce. However a main ban still matters because people value their progress, losing that is usually enough to stop exploiters on main accounts. We only chase-ban for severe cases where we can’t risk the person coming back. However there still has to be punishment which is why exploiting is a permanent ban. So playing on an Alt is what you get to if you decide to exploit.
I agree with Icy here, not only do I see why chase-bans on exploiters would be hard to actually execute, but the progress on my main that I value is one of the main reasons I’m even trying to appeal again
also uhh unrelated but the ticket bot flopped when I tried making my appeal so I might have to wait until whatever issue gets resolved or try to directly contact a moderator which is something I’d be even more nervous about than a ticket bot appeal :[
