Yeah and if you read above I said it isn’t a fair comparison due to the factors listed. I never said it affected the answer, just implying that the answer is pretty obvious for most people.

Honestly yeah. With bounty hunting you could see hp bars standing on savaria and looking at doom island. In wom there’s so many hiding places you might as well just stay in one spot.
- Gameplay wise AA was probably better tho the AI in WoM is much better
- Quality wise WoM is miles ahead, please dont tell me i need to explain this
- Story wise AA was better
- Map wise WoM was better, no dont come at me saying that wom’s map was bland when AA had a fucking ship with grass and plants on it as an island. Bronze Grasslands and Ashen Volcano are just amazing areas

true that, tho the bronze grasslands and ashen alone carry WoM’s map. AA’s map is just plain and boring with an exception for a few areas. Id even say that people who say AA’s map is better are just blinded with nostalgia tbh
Oh ya, how could I forget the plastic grass that you can walk through but still collides with magic and weapons.
And the lava that instantly kills you if you slightly break the floor, man I’m really gonna miss Ashen and Bronze. Only good thing WoM had going for it were the statues but that’s a very minute detail.
oh ye how can i forget a ship with some trees on it. Or a desert with some buildings on it. Or the theos arena which needs no explanation as to how bad it is.
WoM’s map is miles ahead of that of AA, the bronze grasslands have a real savannah vibe to it and the volcano is just good looking all around. Again even if those areas arent that good in your opinion theyre still miles ahead of AA.
also no you probably wont miss ashen and bronze cuz AO will probably have an even better map.
You clearly didn’t forget about it though because the locations fluidly tied in with the story unlike WoM where you could technically do the entire game without every visiting any other areas but 1.
i agree with that point but that isnt a map issue, its more of a gameplay or story issue. Instead what i was saying is how bland these areas were and how WoM’s map is definitely better than that of AA

Bro the trees in WoM look the same as AA, just with apparently less polygons. The rocks look the same as AA, the sand feels slightly better in WoM but still about the same, the grass is the same. The rocks look the same. The ship models(You can’t ride) are the same. What aspects are you saying of the map are better?
the bronze grasslands have the best trees and looks like a savannah which is already a cool region irl. Bronze also has a lot of caves with good looking crystals in em and many statues that look great. Furthermore the arena looks like something which would come from an Ancient civilization which is amazing.
Ashen is a cool ass volcano with lava and a small abandoned town. Volcanoes in general are cool already but adding that town fits the vibe it gives a lot.
I would definitely say that the bronze grasslands are cooler looking than Ashen tho both of these areas are def the best in WoM and great to visit.

These 2 areas carry wom’s map imo, the other areas arent that cool nor special. Same for AA which is even more bland cuz it doesnt have any special areas like the 2 i mentioned before
