Random Dark Sea Monsters Ideas

Give me your craziest Dark Sea Monsters ideas. Here’s two of mine.

Ithaca - Behemoth Sea Monster
(3000/3000)

Similar to how shark’s had white eyes as the behemoth of it’s species, whales should have one as well. This Sea Monster works differently than being invisible or just abnormally strong. Instead it creates whirlpools and smacking it’s tail to create fierce waves at you. Vetex can write this off as the the whale using a mutation of Water Magic called “Whirlpool”. (It would be more cool to see Sea Monsters actually utilizing magic in the Dark Sea because why not.)

Ship Anglerfish - Aberrant Sea Monster
1500/1500

This was a small idea of mine where instead of the light being inside the water it’s outside of the water and instead of a light it’s a ship. Think of it as a ship above water and below attached to it is the angler fish. Once you attack the ship with your own ship by ramming it or shooting cannon balls at it that makes the anglerfish agro your ship. You can make it bite a part of your ship having it slowly lose ship health or just a chunk of ship health damage. All this is doing is just making it so players can’t be at ease while in the Dark Sea, if they take everything to lightly and not pay attention they will die easily.

You wont escape this time when 5 kilometers long monster attacks you

giant squids

that way giant squid spawns at 5+ graphics are more than just jumpscares for a second and instead just incite weird art by pox jump you

Bro I genuninely got scared by Obolus when I first went in. I didn’t actually think he would jump at you that fast LOL.

I can clearlly assume you never played subnautica

W ideas, ship angler is the leading deterrent of ram abusers

I’ve played subnautica before and gone deep exploring all the creatures. It’s just that I was so off guard it caught me by surprise. I was just expecting some goofy model not for it to pop at me like that.

I’ll admit I’m mostly interested in your name choice here. Why name the monster after Odysseus’s home island, specifically?

what did angel do this time

Couldn’t find any really nice whale names honestly. Originally I wanted it to be an island like whale similar to something like Zunesha from One Piece. An entire civilization living inside a whale and the only way to visit it is to get swallowed by it, but that just sounds too complicated. So I thought of a different idea which personally to me seems less cool since having an island inside a giant wandering whale would be sick.

In theory yeah, in practice it’d be flying in the air almost 24/7 because apparently marine life is impossible to code without it being anchored

If anything he could just make a short animation of your screen going black and the character being teleported into another area. Then when leaving you would be teleported out of said whale. Easier said than done though and some people would probably not like the abrupt teleporting.

That’s like the only way it could be done because moving in a moving object on Roblox does not bode well.

I really doubt anybody would complain about teleporting since nobody is going in and out of it that much for it to be an issue.

He could make the whale have a predetermined route instead of ai which would fix the flight and it’d just ram everything out of its way

Honestly it would be just cool to see in the storyline. You get sucked into a whale, you find out some random dude is hurting it and you have to solve the problems. Since something I can tell the story is going to do is mainly focus on the Order of Aesir. I know that’s supposed to be the entire storyline and all, but it would be pleasant to know that the Order of Aesir isn’t the only villain in the game. Just my opinion tbh.

Charybdis, The Polluted.
Inspiration heavily drawn from Charybdis in greek mythology (because it… basically is), it would be a large, fleshy “serpent-like” (in terms of bodily shape) creature that rips ships apart with massive whirlpools to eat it’s inhabitants. Of course, this Charybdis would be heavily influenced by the dark sea’s pollution: gaining heavy magical resistance, and attacking with unrelenting desperation towards anything that it may come across. Of course, it would have to have some interesting drops. Firstly: A stronger version of cloud essence that makes the most powerful whirlpool potions in the game. Aside from that, perhaps some random bits of loot from it’s… “victims”.

Idk about storyline but vetex will definitely add more villains as side storylines at least, like how Cernyx is a side storyline and most likely we’ll fight Cerruno
